Entry requirements

The refresher course is only for delegates who have previously passed the two-day TWCTC or subsequent refresher course and hold a valid CITB Site Safety Plus certificate. Evidence must be provided to SHEQ Services of their eligibility.

If a delegate cannot provide a copy of their certificate, the online card checker can be used to establish if a delegate currently holds a valid CITB Site Safety Plus certificate.

If an individual cannot be located on the system and no evidence of their certificate can be found, they will have to attend the full TWCTC course.

Failure to attend the refresher course prior to the expiry of an existing certificate will require delegates to re-enter the scheme by completing the full TWCTC course if they wish to remain in the scheme.

Assessment and examination

This is a highly interactive course delivered by means of case studies, classroom discussion, group work and individual/group presentations. In addition, you will be required to undertake some self-study outside of the course.

You will be continuously assessed and required to successfully complete a multiple-choice test.

Qualifications & certification

Upon successfully completing the course you will be awarded a CITB Site Safety Plus certificate.

This qualification must be renewed every five years by taking the refresher course before the expiry date.
